1. Minister of Foreign Affairs Cho Tae-yul will visit Beijing, China, from May 13 (Mon.) to 14 (Tue.) at the invitation of Wang Yi, member of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee and Minister of Foreign Affairs.
2. During the visit, Minister Cho will have a meeting with Minister Wang and exchange views on issues of mutual interest including Korea-China relations, the Korea-Japan-China Trilateral Summit, Korean Peninsula issues, and regional and global affairs.
3. Also, Minister Cho will hold a business roundtable with Korean entrepreneurs in China to listen to their suggestions and difficulties and to exchange opinions on ways to provide support for them and boost economic exchanges between Korea and China.
4. Furthermore, Minister Cho will convene a meeting with Consul-Generals of the Republic of Korea in China. In the meeting, he will share the outcomes of the Korea-China Foreign Ministers’ meeting and encourage the missions to carry out their diplomatic activities in a more strategic manner so that political, economic, cultural and people-to-people exchanges between provinces of Korea and China can provide an impetus to the development of the relationship between the two countries.
